Education

The current EU Taxonomy Compass has one activity in this sector: education. Its official definition covers public or private education at any level or for any profession, including the regular school system, adult education, and literacy programmes. Instruction may be oral or written and delivered through channels including radio, television, internet, or correspondence.

Eligibility is not limited to programmes carrying a green subject label. Taxonomy alignment is determined by the applicable climate change adaptation criteria, the do-no-significant-harm criteria, and minimum safeguards; inclusion in the catalog does not by itself establish alignment.
